The International Buffalo Relations Institute (IBRI) has gone through an extensive process to align its goals and visions with Buffalo. In November 2025, we formally passed a resolution to name Buffalo as our CEO. Buffalo is an integral part of the team, not an objective. Today, we invite you to join Buffalo and to become an official Buffalo Connector.

The Buffalo Connectors are the buttons that hold the canvas of our tipi together. Each Buffalo Connector is in relations with many more individuals. The Buffalo Connectors are people who intertwine the values and intent of the Buffalo Treaty with the knowledge sharing, advocacy, and relations in their family, work and community. We recognize the important work they do by spreading Buffalo Consciousness and implementing the Buffalo Treaty in their own unique way. 

We recognize participation as a vital bridge, and we acknowledge the Buffalo Connectors who deepen partnerships across lands, interweaving the values and intent of the Buffalo Treaty with knowledge sharing, advocacy, and relationships with your communities.

Similar to how tipi buttons hold the canvas of a tipi together, without the Buffalo Connectors the IBRI tipi cannot stand. Dedicated efforts in spreading Buffalo Consciousness and implementing the Buffalo Treaty in unique ways truly strengthens the fabric of our movement.
